『The Same Old Song and Dance』
There was a Pub, and therefore there was a Pinya in the Pub.
It'd been a while since she'd been somewhere with as much hustle and bustle as this one, even if it was only populated by the odd false people all over this city, but they served drinks and the noise was enough even if it wasn't as genuine as it could be. There were other, not false people here too, several she had met during her escape from Gladsheim and a few others she hadn't met yet. Mayhaps she would greet them later- or such was her train of thought when someone approached her. The man had come up to the bar and looked outward, surveying the area for... something. Pinya watched him as it was clear he was looking for some
one. She sighs, staring into her near empty tankard as she asks herself if she's really going to do this again. She knows that look. She already knows she is. "I don't suppose you're looking for someone to do something for you, my friend?" Ten minutes later, she's got a piece of parchment with all the vital information on it and Alian has turned from animated to simply waiting by the bar. It's creeping her out a little bit, so instead she moves to an empty table, speading the parchment out and looking it over, formulating a plan. "I'm going to need someone to come with me, that's clear enough," she thinks out loud.

Not that she really wanted to be in front of Leon, but if they were going as a package deal, well. It was something the Lightforged was simply going to have to suck up. Hopefully later she wouldn't end up regretting it.
That, and considering she was honest, Neri flat out admitted that she was nosy to Pinya. But she didn't want to admit her misgivings about the third of their trio if she could help it.
"So do you know anything about this special monster? Rumors? Attacks? Strengths, weaknesses?" It was always best to be prepared, if you could at all.

"And yes, though I have experience in taking the brunt of the damage I certainly don't have the correct arms for it. Not until I can proper bully a blacksmith into creating something that I'm more acquainted with, anyway." Pinya leans down to pick out a notebook that she'd purchased earlier. It't not her overstuffed Botanist's notebook by any means, but if she's going to be here for a while she might as well go about it properly.
The journal that she plonks onto the table is a simple brown leather affair, and it has clearly already been written in if the neat, legible scrawl on the first couple of pages has anything to do with it.
She turns to a new page, numbering in the bottom corner and then using her pen to put the same number on the scroll. At least that way she has some way of organising herself.
"I don't have too much information, only that the monster has been called "Ragelope" and is akin to an Antelope, or perhaps a Steinbock. What I do know is that if the Locals have deigned to call it a 'Ragelope', it's almost certainly not going to be a lower ranked hunt." She's writing in shorthand as she speaks and gestures. Pinya has always been an animated person, and it certainly isn't going to stop now.

The name Ragelope he had actually heard of, though he hadn't been made aware that this was a FOE type enemy - he'd heard talk of it about the town from the idiot script that spilled from the mouths of unreal people. He first scanned Pinara's journal to glean what he could, then waited for Pinara to finish what she was saying, focusing on her face and ignoring her gesticulation.
He spoke leisurely, as if they were only talking about the weather. "I have not heard much in the way of strength and weakness, but I have heard that it is relatively docile until confronted. That may be to our advantage."
He rested his cheek bone on his index and middle fingers, his jaw on his thumb, elbow on table. He almost looked as if he was thoroughly bored. "I cannot speak for how an antelope or steinbock may fight if cornered - I lived in a rather large city and no such creatures wandered into it - but if I were familiar with those creatures I would consider how they may fight to begin planning." His gaze shifted between the women expectantly for some kind of input.

Leon would be sure to find this out in due time, though Pinya suspected he had already decided how he felt about her and what she was capable of.
Eh, let him think what he wants, all's the better for surprising people later.
"In my unfortunately large well of experience, they're never that Docile," she sighs, "Better to be prepared for a fight than assume we'll have the advantage of surprise." She immediately flips to another page of her journal and sketches out a crude image of a head of some sort with poorly drawn antlers.
Sue her, she's a botanist and an alchemist, not an artist.
"Charging, kicking and spearing," she lists off, continuing to draw the godawful approximation of a deer.
"Stay away from the horns at all costs, even blunt bone can pierce skin with enough force," she circles the head.
"They'll rear and smack you silly with the hind legs too, so in general unless you've got a shield or you've got a death wish, don't go for the behind either," she drags her pen neatly in an X over the butt.
"So that leaves ranged attacks and the flank," she finishes.

He listened to her, then looked to her journal with what was almost a hint of interest. There was no flicker of amusement at her drawing. His almost hint of interest shifted into largely unimpressed by the poorly constructed cartoon, but he was listening to her anyway.
"We have a gunner, an archer with a wolf, and a shield. This should be relatively straightforward." He paused for a breath. "I imagine Neriene with her shield should be more than enough to draw it's attention while Pinara, her wolf, and I take care of the rest."

"That is what I was hoping--that I could be the tank and you two would thusly take care of the creatures while I distracted them."
She was finding it difficult to put herself out--and the Draenei found herself wishing that Gradivus was here. The older Lightforged always seemed to know what to say in situations like this...
WEW TIME IS PASSING AND I HATE ITTTT!!!!!
"Sounds like at least a vague plan! And that's all I ever really need," she grins, taking a hearty swig of her mead.
"Now, I'm proper broke in this place, but I've been doing some research and honestly, I'm not sure if the local Alchemist even has the wits to notice I'm using her lab. I can make us some basic healing potions and poultices, possibly some Silver Needles and Eye Drops and Antidotes, not sure, I'll see what I can rustle up before we set out."
"If there's anything left you want to say before I get crafting, let me know. Otherwise, let's get this show on the road!"

The mention of alchemy caught his ear and directed a rather concentrated gaze from Leon, but he made no comment. He could ask her about it sometime when they weren't preparing for a mission. He would leave the alchemy to her and the... whatever the hell else she just said. He wasn't sure he could really take her all that seriously considering she was hoping to make saline, of all things. Who the hell knew what silver needles were and... Antidotes would be a good idea except, you know, different poisons required different antidotes. Better to leave her to her work and see what it was she came up with and talk it over later.
As for Neriene... Well, he knew almost nothing about her except that she was an absolute wall of force in Gladsheim. He certainly would not want to piss her off.
There was nothing for him to say to the girls, so he excused himself from the table and the tavern to see if there were any provisions he could pick up before they left. Within the next hour he placed himself near the entrance to the labyrinth where he could watch for his party members. He was there just early enough to start perusing the menus of the inventory system and whatnot. He dismissed it once one or both of the women approached.
"Ready?" There was a relaxed confidence in the way he held himself. They totally had this. Probably.
